Alternatively, take the Northern Expressway which joins the Gawler bypass. Follow the bypass around Gawler, continuing on the Sturt Highway towards the Riverland and Nuriootpa. Take the outlet to Nuriootpa township.

At the southern end of the town (one main commercial street) is a roundabout near the old Tolley Still House. Directions here point to Angaston. Approximately 4 kms from the junction is the driveway on the left side to Strathlyn Bed and Breakfast.
